Photojournalism

To become a Photojournalist, one must have an education. Many colleges offer 4-year degrees in Photojournalism, but you can still receive a Photo-journalistic education by taking online classes, through a vocational school, or through hands-on experience as an apprentice.

One school that has a Photojournalism program is Lakewood High School.

As a Photojournalist, you can expect a varied salary, greatly depending on where it is that you live, and what you are doing.
When you work from 1-4 years you get $11.78 an hour
When you work from 5-9 years you get $14.43 an hour
When you work from 10-19 years you get $17.55 an hour
When you work from 20 +years you get $20.47 an hour
(-Yahoo Answers)
So the expected average salary for a Photojournalist per year is $60,183.

To prepare for an interview to be a Photojournalist, one must develop a resume, (a website or digital resume may be more enticing than a traditional resume,) along with a large portfolio of previous work, and of course, the knowledge of camera and photography usage.

I would not see Photojournalism as a possible profession for me in the future, for I have already decided that my future occupation will lie within the linguistic field/foreign language field.
